Nokia E71 Smartphone – Best of Nokia E-Series Smartphone

The Nokia E71 smartphone is one of the better and sexier smartphones that you’ll see in the market. The metallic and mirror-finished body is just 10 mm and it feels so good to hold in hand. Besides that, it is light weight, compact and ultra slim. Included on the phone is the microSD, IR port and microUSB slot on the left, while voice command and volume buttons on the right. We’ll look at more of the functions in this Nokia E71 review.

Although there may be some smudges from fingerprints, it’s a small problem as the phone shines beautifully. Everything seems to be well for the Nokia E71 smartphone and you can just put it in your pocket without much difficulty.

The screen of the Nokia E71 is a QVGA with 320 by 240 resolution and that definitely means sharp display. Although the screen is not too bright, it’s just nice for the eyes. What is impressive is that it works very well under sunlight too.

What attracts me most for this Nokia E71 is the Qwerty keyboard. For the previous versions of Nokia smartphones, there were complaints that the keyboard is too far apart and not too easy to type. However for E71, the keyboard is much compact and it’s easier to type. Even if you made some typo errors, you can edit it easily with the assisted correction function. In addition to that is the backlighting which is white in color.

Nokia E71 has some good connectivity specifications like A-GPS, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS, GSM, EDGE, HSDPA etc.

The camera is 3.2 megapixels with LED flash and auto-focus. Although 3.2 megapixels is nothing much impressive and without the anti-motion function, it’s still able to produce clear and sharp shots. While videos can be taken with the camera, don’t expect the quality to be as great as the ones taken by handheld digital cameras oppo a53.

We’ll also discuss about the multimedia of the phone in this Nokia E71 review. Besides the camera, you can also find the Nokia Music Player, radio stations, podcast, Ovi sharing service etc. There is a speaker on the upper left and it’s certainly louder than the previous version E61i. It’s good enough to play ringtones and songs.

The battery of E71 smartphone is 1500 mAh and the battery life is something to talk about here. Even if you use heavy consumption like making phone calls, checking your emails, surfing the internet and other stuffs, it can still last you for the rest of the day without charging it. So far out of so many phones that I have used, this is the one with the best battery life.

The E71 is using the Symbian S60 OS platform with the Feature Pack 1 (FP 1). When you search for a name, you can find the one you are searching for in the Contacts immediately. Unfortunately, you still won’t be able to find threaded SMS for the Messaging application but you can use IMAP and POP accounts.
